Exchanging at Banks: You can exchange currency at local bank branches, but be aware that it is often a time-consuming process. You must be prepared for long queues and it is mandatory to present your original passport. Since rates at banks are similar to street exchange offices, it rarely provides a significant financial benefit. Using official bureaus (Döviz Bürosu) is generally much faster and more convenient.
