Cons: Long transfer to Alanya (2.5 - 3.5 hours).

Hand Luggage & Security Rules
Essential knowledge for flying in and out of Turkish airports.
The Golden Rule: Liquids up to 100 ml
This applies worldwide. All liquids, gels, creams, and aerosols must be in containers of maximum 100 ml. All containers must fit into one transparent, re-sealable plastic bag (max 1 liter). Limit: one bag per passenger.
ALLOWED in Cabin
Electronics: Laptops, phones, tablets, and Power Banks (Must be in cabin bag!).
Medicines: Essential meds (prescription required if over 100ml).
Baby Food: Milk/food required for the duration of the flight.
Duty-Free: In a sealed security bag with the receipt.
PROHIBITED in Cabin
Liquids >100 ml: Water, alcohol, large sun creams, jams, honey.
Sharp Objects: Knives, scissors (blade >6 cm), corkscrews.
Flammables: Aerosols (except hygiene), lighter fluid.
Sports Gear: Bats, clubs, etc. go in checked luggage.
Important for Turkey: Two Security Checks
When flying back from Turkey, you will undergo two full security checks: one at the airport entrance and another right before the boarding gate.
THE TRAP: Drinks bought at the airport AFTER the first check but BEFORE the gate will be confiscated at the second check if they are over 100ml. Only buy drinks once you have passed the final security check at the gate area.
Common Questions
Can I bring food?
Yes, solid food like sandwiches, fruits, and nuts are allowed. Semi-solid foods like yogurt, honey, or soft cheese count as liquids!
Drones
Drones are usually carried in cabin baggage. Lithium batteries MUST be in the cabin. Always check Turkish drone laws before travel.
